In March 2025, Prof. Ann Heylen of National Taiwan Normal University visited Kyushu University to deliver an intensive course for postgraduate students on Teaching Taiwan History through Documentaries and Source Materials. The course covered a range of transdisciplinary Taiwan studies scholarship from an educational perspective, including research on Taiwanese history during the Japanese colonial period, 17th Century Dutch Formosa, women’s studies and Indigenous Taiwan.
